Why Quality Screener

Built for investors who want clarity.

Transparent by default

Every score decomposes into its inputs. Published formulas, named source fields, no proprietary black box.

Use it with your favourite AI agent

Connect your screens to your favourite AI assistant through our open MCP server, so the same quality criteria drive your wider research workflow.

Fully customizable

Your measures, your weights, your thresholds. Change one input and the ranking updates in front of you.

Genuinely global

Developed and emerging markets in one universe, with figures standardised so companies are comparable.

Historical scores

See how a company scored in earlier reporting periods to judge whether quality has been consistent.

Build and track your portfolio (coming soon)

Turn a screen into a portfolio and track how it holds up against the same quality criteria over time.

Methodology

How to create a quality score.

Every step is visible and editable. Nothing is inferred on your behalf.

03

Rank the global universe

Companies are scored and ranked against your definition, with every input visible on the row.

04

Save, share, revisit

Save the screen, share a link, and compare how scores have moved over prior reporting periods.

The quality score builder

Filters, score parameters, metric groups, then the run — the same order you work in inside the app.

Questions

Before you start.

Do I need an account to try it?

No. You can build and run a screen and see ranked results without signing up. An account is only needed when you want to save screens or view score history.

What does the quality score measure?

It combines documented fundamentals — returns on capital, margins, cash conversion, growth and stability, leverage — into a single 0–10 score. Every measure has a published formula and each score decomposes back into its inputs.

Which markets are covered?

Developed and emerging markets together in one universe — roughly 67,000 companies across 100+ countries and 70+ exchanges, with figures standardised so companies are comparable.

Is the methodology public?

Yes. The measures, their formulas and the scoring steps are shown in the Methodology section, right next to the screener itself — nothing is hidden behind a proprietary score.

Can an AI agent use it?

Yes. The open-source MCP server lets your favourite AI assistant run your screens and read the same data.

How fresh is the data?

Scores are recalculated as new financial statements are reported. Each screen shows when it was last calculated.
